The Different Design Courses
Design as a discipline is a broad area. Each field of design is unique and has its own language. As we have mentioned in the previous article, design is so broad that designers in different fields do not have any common language. One may be an expert in one field of design and yet cannot find his or her footing in many other fields of design.

The courses in each field of design are aimed at teaching interested student about that particular field. For example, courses in interior design focus solely in that field of design, that is, on decoration of indoor environment without introducing students to other fields of design like graphic and communication design. The same can be said of other fields of design such as web design. Courses in different fields of design refer to classes that deal on design elements useful to the career in which the student will work in. Below are some of the courses in design.

Courses in Graphic Design
Graphic design is that field of design that creates images for commercial purposes using different illustration techniques. Given the fact that we are in the era of computer age, the courses covered in this field of design including instructions on the creation of images using different types of computer software. Program in graphic design will also include courses on the effect of color on viewers, color theory, principles of graphic design, use of space in a composition and many others.

Interior Design
Interior design as we have mentioned is that field of design that deals on the decoration of interior or indoor environment. Courses in this field of design provide instruction on the use of furniture, color, curtain, electronic gadgets, wall arts and other items used to decorate a living environment. Aesthetics is highly valued and emphasized in interior design. It is not enough for students to learn how to create space in a room but creating space that has great visual appeal is the main target. Right placement of items, color match, different historical styles and fashions are of great importance in interior decoration; and so courses that will help student to acquire the skills and knowledge that will help them to create visually appealing space in an indoor environment are taught in interior design. Web Design Courses
We are in the era of computer and information and communication technique. The internet has become an accepted arena for doing various types of economic activities. Many businesses, organization, institutions, clubs, political parties and religions are launching their websites in order to establish an online and global presence. This opens up another field of design, namely, web design. There are different aspects of website and so, web designers will register for courses depending on the aspect they are interested in.
